Hi, I’m Judy
I’m a professor, storyteller, podcaster, TEDx speaker, lifelong learner, wife, mom, and caregiver. Throughout my life and career, I’ve been fascinated by the experiences that shape us and the lessons we learn along the way.
As a university professor and administrator, I’ve spent decades working with students as they discover who they are and prepare for what’s next. As a mom, I’ve learned that some of life’s most important lessons come through relationships and unexpected experiences. As a podcaster and storyteller, I have the privilege of hearing how people from all walks of life have been shaped by opportunities, setbacks and turning points.
Whether I’m teaching a class, leading a university program, interviewing a guest or traveling abroad with students, I’m guided by a simple question:
What experiences shape who we become?
That question is at the heart of my podcast, Stories of Change & Creativity, where I explore the experiences and turning points that influence our lives and shape our journeys. Through conversations with students, educators, entrepreneurs, leaders, creatives, and everyday people, I uncover the lessons they learned and the experiences that influenced who they became.
I believe learning doesn’t stop when we leave the classroom. Some of our greatest lessons come through life’s experiences—through change, relationships, travel, success, failure, and the willingness to take action before we have all the answers.
The experiences that shape us often become the stories we share.
